Trai Shatabdi Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Amritsar is a premier post-graduate institution, affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, was established in 1999 to commemorate tri-centenary celebration of Khalsa Panth with a very few departments and a handful of students on the eve of tri-centenary of Khalsa Panth .
TS Digital Club
The home and the educational institution of a student are the places where he imbibes the spirit of social-service. Now, social service is considered an important part of the college activities. Social work is about using your curiosity, your intellect, your emotional intelligence and all your senses to understand people, the situations they are in and how they can move forward. You need to commit to developing yourself on all these aspects and to sustaining yourself through seeking excellent support and guidance.
Social Service or Social Work is the work done by individuals for the benefit of the society. It should be aimed to promote social change or a development in the society. It includes the principles based on social justice, human rights and the responsibility of each citizen with respect to the diverse social culture of the country.
Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Gagandeep Singh, a club named "TS Digital Club" was formed on 05 Aug,2017 by P.G. Department of Computer Science and Apllications. Prof. Gurjit Singh(HOD) is the convener of this club. Prof. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Ikvinderpal Singh, Prof. Jeevan Jyoti, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur, Prof. Sandeep Singh, S.Lakhwinder Singh are active members of this club.Amritpal Singh is the President and Simarpreet Kaur is the Vice-President of the club among the students.Besides above members students of computer department actively participate in all the activities of the club. The motto of the club is to help and serve the needy and do social welfare for their benefits.
