Trai Shatabdi Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Amritsar is a premier post-graduate institution, affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, was established in 1999 to commemorate tri-centenary celebration of Khalsa Panth with a very few departments and a handful of students on the eve of tri-centenary of Khalsa Panth . The objective of the institution was to impart state of art education to poor and weaker sections of the society. Since its inception the institution has been deeply committed to the propagation of patriotism, nationalism and secularism. The college has significant presence in the field of research and a number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies. The institution has set up a glorious track record over the years. The college is situated in the heart of Amritsar.
The college is proud of its advanced teaching-learning environment and infrastructure. The dedicated faculty members are ever ready to take up the challenges of imparting quality higher education to their pupils coming from all nooks and corners of India and abroad. The environment in the college enables students to interact freely with one another. Having left the secure and strictly controlled precincts of school behind them, boys and girls here learn to find a place for themselves in their own individualistic way in a friendly and cordial environment. This along with their NSS experience prepares them to work for an inclusive society and make them responsible and proactive members of society.
